I came across a flock of Sulphur Butterflies licking up the salt in Red Canyon Arroyo. The large sunflower and Blackfoot Daisy were growing just up the sidewalk from my home. This image was one of the last I created before I put my art away for a couple of years when my husband’s health deteriorated. Upon his death I returned to this image and created the little Geisha Girl sitting on mudcracks.
