In late May after all the Prickly Pear flowers have faded the Walking Stick Cholla Cacti bloom; bright pink flowers clustered on the ends of thorny branches. I only have to walk a hundred yards down the road to admire their brilliant color.

To me the dancing images seemed to mirror the outstretched branches of these prickly plants. The flowers appeared as small faces smiling down at me as I snapped away on my digital camera.
