Dandelion Waves

In May 2006 I visited my friend Meg in Grand Junction, Colorado. We hiked up No Thoroughfare Canyon to the first large waterfall. Along the way we crossed the stream where plants that reminded me of sunflowers were poking their leaves above the surface. It was not clear whether they had just been flooded by recent rains or were true water plants. In the same canyon we came across three brightly colored Collared Lizards. On the drive home over the San Juan Moutains I stopped beside a field covered with dandelions to photograph them.
